Title One Reading: Reading Recovery and Guided Reading Plus

    May 2013

The Title One Book Celebration on April 11th was a great success!  I hope you are all enjoying your new books!

The end of the school year is fast approaching.  We are beginning end of year assessments, and that, along with all the  special activities in May and June, it is important to maintain a  routine of homework, play, and family time.

This is also a good time to begin thinking about developing a routine of reading over the summer months too!

*************!

Your involvement in your child's literacy

 development is IMPORTANT!!!

Listening to your child read each day is essential. Early readers need to have the opportunity to practice familiar books at home.  This practice supports their fluent reading, builds their high frequency words, and helps develop their comprehension.

Happy Reading!
