Albion Elementary School

About Ms. McIntyre
My name is Ms. McIntyre and I am the 6th grade teacher at Albion ElementarySchool. I graduated from Husson College with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Science. While there, I was part of the Women’s basketball team and the Outdoors Club.
Some of my interests include playing basketball, camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family.
Last school year was my first full year of teaching. I worked in the resource room as a special education teacher, at Mount View Junior High School (grades 7-8). This experience helped me understand the importance of individualizing instruction for my students. I also worked as the JV girl’s basketball coach at Lawrence High School.
Things to Reflect On
The year has flown by and we have gotten a lot accomplished. We studied the Constitution and the Bill of Rights at the beginning of the year. We even wrote our own classroom constitution to follow!

We love reading with our reading buddies! We had fun helping them create an American Flag.
Throughout our Biography Unit, we learned a lot about famous people and about our classmates as well. We also created presidential campaign posters about the people we read about to help us think of whether these people would be good candidates for president.

We enjoyed our field trip to the Maine State Museum and had lots of fun learning about the State House. We even got to sit in the representative's chairs!
We also had a very sugar-filled Valentines Day Ice Cream Social to head us off to February Vacation.
We miss you Kelsey! Best wishes to you!!!
The rest of the year is sure to fly by. We have been busy studying the human body and learning about all of its systems. We will continue to investigate our geometry and measurement units in Math. We are becoming famous poets, but I betcha didn't know it! Soon enough, we will be constructing tooth pick bridges and growing seedlings!
Hold on tight, we're moving fast!
