Nurse Jones Dear parents and guardians of Clinton Elementary School students:
Our school nurse is Anni Outinen-Jones, R.N., B.S.N., known to our students as “Nurse Jones.”
Nurse Jones has worked in M.S.A.D. #49 for over eight years. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine School of Nursing and has worked in many different areas of health care—from acute care to community health—but her favorite is, of course, school health. “Everyday is different and challenging, whether is it directly helping students or working on school and district wide work to help our students stay healthy.
Nurse Jones lives in Freedom with her husband, Brian and her yellow lab Darcy. Her three children, Laura, Erik, and Ingria are grown. She’s a native of Finland, but has lived in the United States all of her adult life. She still has close ties to Finland and travels there as often as she can.
Enjoying country living, Nurse Jones and her husband love walking in their woods and kayaking. In winter, she likes to cross-country ski or sit by the warm fire and knit.
When asked what her mission as a school nurse is, Nurse Jones replied, “to educate students and staff about health.”
