My name is Jeanne Jones.  I have taught Kindergarten for many years.  I started teaching in Connecticut and then in New Hampshire.  I love children of all ages but enjoy working with young children.  I have been teaching in SAD 49 in Clinton for 26 years.  Each year I learn more new things from my students.   I firmly believe parents are their children's first and best teacher.  For that reason, I encourage parent participation so I can meet each child's special abilities.  I plan the Kindergarten curriculum so each child learns through interaction and discovery.  Literacy, field trips, art, music, physical education, math, social studies, science, and self awareness are important parts of our curriculum.  I try to create a warm, comfortable, stress free environment in the classroom so the children can feel safe, challenged to learn and happy at school.   My doors (there are two in my room) are always opened.  I welcome feedback from parents and hope to communicate with them throughout the school year by notes, phone calls, visits or through email.
