The Lawrence Jr. High School 8th grade Industrial Arts Technology Education program facilitates the study of hands-on, life skills education. Activities and units of study include; tool safety, drafting, measuring, activities and projects involving: problem solving, design/build, technology design/build and wood/metal project based activities. The students will usually leave this 9 wk course with something they have made. The program focus is hands-on, problem solving and creating, where all activities inherently support principles and concepts taught in the students’ core of academic studies.
Course Information
Wood Shop Tech Lab Rules: 1. Act and dress safely at all times.
2. Be kind and respectful of others and their work.
3. Stay on task and cooperate with everyone.
4. Report any injuries or unsafe conditions to the instructor immediately.
5. Respect the lab tools and equipment.
6. Do your assigned cleanup job each day.
7. Make up any missed work as soon as possible.
