Please be reminded that incoming 7th graders (or any 8th grader who has not previously participated in LJHS interscholastic athletics) who plan to participate in co-curricular activities must have written record of a physical dated after July 1, 2010 or a signed document from your physician indicating that your child has had a recent physical and is cleared for participation in athetics, etc. Those documents should be turned in when signing up for the particular activity. Please contact Mr. Pullen, LJHS Asst. Principal and Athletic Director with questions at 453-4200 ext. 2302. Feel free to leave a message and he will get back to you. JUNIOR HIGH SPORTS DO NOT BEGIN UNTIL AUGUST 30.
A summer packet will be mailed in early August. Watch your mail for that packet, which will include information that will answer most of your questions about the coming year including the bell schedule, student schedules, student handbook information and much more. Grade K-6 Open House is August 25 5:30 – 7:30 A CYBER SAFETY PARENT PRESENTION will be held in the Williamson Center on Tuesday, September 7 @ 6 pm. Please plan to attend this very important presentation with your child. It is so important to keep your children safe as they spend more and more time on the internet. |
