GUIDELINES FOR (SSSC) OBSERVATIONS

1.    PRE CONFERENCE

           A.      Review goals of Teacher Action Plan (TAP).

           B.       Determine specific goal(s) for observation.

           C.       Discuss how observation will be recorded, i.e. in person, video script taping.

2.    OBSERVATION - Be sure the observation is relevant to the goal(s).

3.    POST CONFERENCE

           A.      Positive feedback on lesson.

           B.       Determine how lesson met the goal(s).

           C.       Suggestions for further lessons.

4.    WRITTEN OBSERVATION

           A.      Should be typed and signed by the observer immediately following post conference.

           B.       Should be relevant to the goal(s).

           C.       Should include pre and post conference date.

           D.      Does not need to include script.

           E.       Observations must be filed with the SSSC before:

                              1st observation -    January 15

                              2nd observation -   February 28

                              3rd observation -   April 2
