Fingerprinting is scheduled on Saturdays and usually is done in Winslow once a month. You will need to schedule an appointment, they no longer take "walk-in" customers. We recommend printing out the confirmation of your appointment as there is no way to access that once you exit out. There is also a form that you will need to complete that is available at the Business Office.
For employees certified or authorized by Maine - Dept of Education - fingerprinting is required by State Law. This will need to be done before your certification or authorization can be renewed. The Dept. of Education - Certification Office is requesting that you schedule your fingerprinting sometime in the year before your certification/authorization expires. It takes a certain period of time for the fingerprinting and criminal records to be checked and verified so they are recommending that you don't wait until the very end. They are requesting that you have them done no later than May of the year your certification/authorization expires.
