Dear Parents, Players, Coaches, Fans and Friends,

As many of you know, there is a lot of effort put in by many to have a successful sports season.                                                                           Football is no different!!

The purpose of the Lawrence High School Football Boosters is to provide support and assistance to the Lawrence football program, which includes the players and coaching staffs for all three levels of play (freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity). The Booster Club seeks to work with the school’s athletic department and the football team’s head coach in an effort to provide, among other things, funds for the purchase of football related items that cannot be covered by the MSAD49 School District budget. The LHS Football Boosters sponsors events throughout the year to help raise these funds.

            Our Mission is to ensure the continued success of the LHS Football Tradition in Fairfield. Our purpose is to support and enhance the football program through volunteer assistance and fundraising programs, while promoting the highest standards of spirit and sportsmanship. We do this not only for our athletes today but for all the athletes that will participate in the future and with the communities support and volunteer support by parents, we can continue to build upon our football program that will serve the LHS Football program for generations to come.

            As many of you may have noticed; the Boosters concession stand has been removed and a new one will be put up in the weeks to follow. This will allow a better atmosphere for volunteers to work during all the football games. The concession is a huge source of funds for the boosters and we hope with the new building, we will be able to provide a better product and better service.

The funds raised by the boosters have helped in the purchase of many things:

Here’s where we need your help:

First of all, we need your attendance at the Booster meetings;

We can’t do it with just the few that show up. Please plan on attending

Meetings are every Tuesday at 6:00 in the HS Cafeteria.

Concession stand will be open for ALL games this year provided we have the workers to work it. This includes 7^th and 8^th grade games as well.  We need workers!!! The best way it works is to have the younger player’s parents working the JV and Varsity games and the JV and Varsity parents working the younger games. This provides all parents an opportunity to watch their son play and still be a huge help with a huge money maker. On a busy Friday Varsity game we need approximately 10 people to cover both sides of the shack. Senior parents in the past have always been the ones to clean up at the end of  the games.

Football Program: These programs are sold at each game and provide the schedule for all the games, rosters, profiles for players and coaches, etc. We need people to do the leg work in getting the ads donated by area businesses. This also includes the ads for the signs hanging along the sideline fence.

Discount Cards: This year the discount cards will be done local ourselves. The cost will be lower but we are still expecting the players to sell them. We need volunteers to do the leg work in getting area business to sign a contract offering discounts, coupons, etc from their business.

Bottle Drive: on July 16 will help provide money to cover the bussing for 7 on 7 this summer. We need drivers who are willing to drive the younger players around who do not drive.

50/50: Every Varsity Home game an excited winner will take home money. We have 3 gates at the field and could use at least 3 people to sell 50/50 tickets. The selling only goes till just before half time.

Sandwiches for away games: We need someone willing to pick up the sandwiches and be sure they are at the locker room in time for the busses to leave.

Oranges for the games: We need someone willing to purchase (you will be reimbursed; please keep your receipt) the oranges and quarter them and get them in a cooler and to the locker room before each game.

Banquet:  When it comes time for the banquet, depending on how it is done this year, we will need lots of help decorating, serving, setting up, cleaning up, etc.

As in a football game it takes lots of players to form a “team”

and the Lawrence High School Football Boosters needs lots of players on our “TEAM”.
