Lawrence High School has announced its Fall Tryout dates for the 2008 Sports season. In addition, there will be a student athlete/parent meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 14th starting at 6:00pm at the LHS gymnasium. All parents and athletes are encouraged to attend with the meeting lasting about 1 hour. Coaches will provide information on the forthcoming season along with other important information. All student athletes must have a signed parent permission form, a signed emergency card indicating appropriate insurance and physician’s approval to play in the sport, a signed Code of Conduct form, and a signed Student Athlete/Parental form indicating reading and an understanding of the student athlete handbook. No student athlete will be allowed to participate in any tryout until all of these forms are turned in to the coach. Monday, August 18th is the first official day of tryouts as mandated by the Maine Principals’ Association.

- CHEERLEADING Head Coach Stephanie Wallace-First practice meeting will be the 18th at 6:00pm in the LHS gym.
- CROSS COUNTRY Head Coach Girls Rob Stanton-Head Coach Boys Tim Alberts- First practice for both Girls/Boys will be the 18th at 9:00am at LHS athletic field.
- FIELD HOCKEY Head Coach Lisa Larrabee-First practice will be the 18th at the LHS Field Hockey field from 8:-10:00am. Second session will be same day 6-8:00pm same site.
- GIRLS SOCCER Head Coach Jill Lathan-First practice will be the 18th at the LHS Soccer field from 6-7:30am. Second session will be the same day 4:30-6:00pm same site.
- BOYS SOCCER Head Coach Bob Towne-First practice will be the 18th at the LHS Soccer field from 7-9:00am. Second session will be the same day 6-8:00pm same site.
- FOOTBALL Head Coach John Hersom-First practice will be on the 18th at the LHS practice football field from 7:45-9:45am. Second session will be same day 3:15-5:15pm same site. Varsity Football team members (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores) will be issued equipment on Friday, August 15 from 4:00-5:30pm at LHS
- FRESHMEN FOOTBALL Head Coach Roy Lawrence-First practice will be the 18th at the football practice field from 12-2:00pm. Freshmen football players will be issued equipment on Friday, August 15 from 5:30-7:00pm at LHS.
