From
Grade 7
Teams

We look forward to getting to
know you and your children, and we welcome parental input. After all,
you know your child better than anyone else.
We are structured teams insisting that the students use class
time for
learning. Class participation is very important to the learning
process. We help students be organized,
productive, and responsible for
their work and behavior. We also stay after school when needed to
work with students.
That does not mean we do not like to
have fun. The teams usually have several team activities
throughout the year which the students find rewarding and enjoyable --
a break from the everyday routine. We also advise a fair share of
the extra-curricular activities.
Team leader, Mr. Cournoyer, along with Mrs. Easler are advisors
for the
Outing Club, which enjoys several outdoor activities throughout the
school year. Ms. Arntsen
organizes the National Geography Bee each winter. Ms. Gerry
provides writing and graphics for some school signs and posters and
does the Teams' web pages. Mr. Marcoux coaches
football and basketball.
We participate in the Maine National Guard Adventure Program.
This program offers lessons that help build the assets young
people need to grow up competent, caring, and responsible. This program
supports the Maine Learning Results as well as our own
curriculum. We want our students to be successful in school and
life.
