From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Families and Friends of Clinton Elementary:

I really can’t believe that the Christmas holiday is upon us! Here at Clinton Elementary, it certainly is a busy time of year. There is so much happening in our little school with the big heart that the three weeks before our Christmas holiday will just fly by!

I would like to take a minute to thank all of you for the support you have shown to the staff over the course of the past few months. It has been challenging, to say the least, as we have worked through this new style of learning. The students have been wonderful and have accepted this new version of school and are working very hard, even on their days at home. I encourage you to continue to reach out to your child’s teacher with any concerns or questions you still have or if you come across any issues. If those issues are technology related, remember you can always contact our technology team at: techteam@msad49.org. They will get back to you in a jiffy and help out however they can!

We are now in our fifth year of implementing our positive behavior support program and the students are doing very well! I hope your children are coming home excited about receiving their BARK points and being able to place a paw print on our bulletin board. In addition, the entire school has already earned celebrations for October and November. We had ice cream treats and cookies to celebrate. Even though our celebrations might be limited due to our current circumstances, our students continue to work hard to reach their monthly goal by being accountable, respectful, kind and safe. It has been a positive start to our year in part to the students and staff continuing to embrace this program. Please continue to discuss it with your children and celebrate with them when they bring a BARK card home!

Finally, our school Elf on the Shelf has returned for another season, complete with his own mask! He enjoys moving around the building, watching all of the wonderful work our children are doing and keeping an eye out for their positive attitudes and achievements. Be sure to ask your child about him!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very healthy, happy holiday season. Enjoy the time with your children! We will see you in 2021!!
