Good Afternoon Albion Families! Please be advised that there will be no school for all students on Monday, January 20th (due to Martin Luther King Junior Day )or Tuesday, January 21st (due to a Professional Development day.)
Students should plan to return to their regular schedules on Wednesday, January 22nd. Please send your student in their Learn Like a Bulldog T-shirt or blue/gray.

Good Morning Albion Families! The Carolling around the school concert for today is scheduled for 2:25. This concert will be for the families of the grade 4, 5, 6 students that are in Chorus.
Please make sure that your child knows the theme of the day. If you need a reminder, please reach out to their teacher.
Holiday break will be December 23rd to January 1st. We hope you have a restful vacation and look forward to seeing everyone on January 2nd.

At Albion Elementary, third grade students practiced their multiplication skills while completing a festive seasonal craft! Students represented a basic fact in 4 different ways, using the strategies of equal groups, repeated addition, arrays, and fact families to solve their equation.






In the spring Albion students in grades 2 - 6 entered the Maine Association of School Libraries Bookmark contest. Two of our Albion students were recognized. Joe in 6th grade was an Honorable mention and Colton in 4th grade was the Winner! MASL had their entries made into bookmarks to share with students.



At Albion elementary Mrs. Bearce's kindergartners are engaged in a valuable activity known as "choice time" where they have the opportunity to select from various centers toward the end of the day. These centers play a pivotal role in their development by promoting decision-making, problem-solving, and social interaction.



Mrs. Wastella's 4th-grade class in Albion is on an exciting journey into the world of science, where they're diving headfirst into the scientific method through the thrilling and colorful world of Skittles experimentation! This hands-on learning experience not only makes science come alive but also cultivates inquisitive minds and sparks a lifelong passion for exploring the mysteries of the natural world.







Smiles for Life came to Albion this week and held a dental clinic.

The first graders at Albion Elementary are working hard on their reading and writing skills!


The K students started on Tuesday. Lots of excitement in the air!


Albion students gave the day a thumbs up! Albion Elementary has a lot of new faces and can’t wait to meet you at Open House - September 5th, 4:00-6:00.

To help you with the ballot questions, here is what a yes vote means...
Yes on # 1 is a new FREE SCHOOL built for MSAD 49, paid for by the State of Maine. The Bonds for the new school are paid by the state.
A yes vote on #2 is if the taxpayers would like a larger gym with spectator seating and the cost for an expanded gym is shared amongst the tax payers.

Our Next Albion PTA Meeting is October 19th at 6pm in the school Library.
Erica Petrie is our PTA winner of the Echo Sound in our sign up raffle!
Trunk or Treat is Scheduled for October 29th from 5-7pm on our school's tarred playground. Donations for the event can be dropped off at school!

Our next Albion PTA Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday September 21st at 6Pm in our school library. At that meeting we will review the volunteer sign ups for our events scheduled, work on selecting officers and have our volunteer drawing.

An early release has been planned in our district for Friday September 16. Our elementary school will release at noon.
