My Dear Parents and Guardians,
This month we welcome the pre-k students from Clinton into our Lawrence Primary School
family. Their start date in our school will be March 10th . We are both happy and excited to have
them with us earlier than originally planned!
The pre-k hours are different from K-2 so we can accommodate the drop off and pick up of the
pre-k students from 8AM-2:15.
We will be moving the traffic along at their drop off time so our K-2 families can continue to
drop off students from 8:15-8:30.
We recommend our K-2 families (not using bus transportation) drop off students no earlier than
8:15 so there is a natural flow to the drive through and any available open parking spots are
available for pre-k families and arriving staff.
March is a very long month that begins with National Read Across America Week and Dr. Suess’
Birthday celebrated on Monday, March 2 nd . This is an important month for both growth and
learning!
Please mark your calendars for this month’s delay start which is on the calendar for March 18 th .
Just a quick reminder that even if the weather begins to show signs of Spring, please be sure to
send your students with winter gear and shoes/boots that can withstand snow or mud for recess.
The area around our playground is breezier than it seems where the playground is located and the
weather is unpredictable. No shorts, tee shirt or sandals yet, even though we are all hungry for
spring weather!
