Continuity of Learning May 8 Update

May 8, 2020

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff,

I hope this note finds you all well.  Last evening our School Board approved June 5 as the final day of remote learning for students.  For the remainder of the school calendar, June 8 – June 12, our staff will be participating in professional development activities.  The 2020-2021 School Calendar was approved as well.  Graduation plans are developing as Mr. Bowers, staff, and students prepare for this June 4 event.  More information will follow from individual schools as we approach year-end events.

The Nutrition Program will continue with feeding sites and deliveries through June 5.  Though van deliveries will stop after June 5 with the last student day, the school sites and satellite sites will all remain open and serving meals through the summer months. Online kindergarten registration is open.  In-person screenings will take place at a later time, to be determined.

We recognize the challenges created by the closure of our school buildings. I appreciate your efforts and understanding during this situation. I am proud of your good work, and I hope that you all have a positive close to this school year.  I fully expect that 2020-2021 finds us an even closer, stronger, more determined school community!

Stay safe and be well.
