New! Bulldogs Maine Farm and Sea to Schools Program

MSAD 49 Bulldogs Maine Farm and Sea to Schools Program

MSAD 49 School Garden and Greenhouse Fund Raiser

For over 10 years, volunteers have been growing vegetables at our small school garden and donating them to the food service program so we could feed the children fresh vegetables grown here at our school. As part of the Maine Farm and Sea to School, the Food Services Team at Lawrence hopes to get the children involved in planting and tending the garden. We have a program where the children will prepare the food harvested from our garden and greenhouse. We are also looking to plant fruit trees.

This year we grew eggplant, peppers, squash, tomatoes and sunflowers. We would love a chance to expand our garden of offer a wider selection of vegetables. To this end, we have set up a SeedMoney fundraiser. Donated funds will be used for purposes such as to purchase seeds, plant fruit trees, build a greenhouse, and much more!

Thanks to Your generosity, we earned over $700.00 for this amazing program!
