LJHS Closure Update

November 24, 2020

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff,

While Lawrence Junior High School has been in fully remote learning mode due to a number of students and staff needing to quarantine, we began urgently needed repairs of plumbing lines that coincided with the building closure.  Though we were scheduled to reopen on November 30, the scope of the repair was greater than the initial assessment indicated. We must remain closed until the project is complete as it involves a substantial portion of the first floor hallway, restrooms, and the two newly-dedicated nurse’s offices, as required for health and safety.   We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding that the building will not be operational until the problem is remedied. At this time, we expect that students and staff will return to in-person learning on January 4, following the December break.

LJHS Principal Boynton will be in communication with families and offer support needed in this fully remote environment.  We will provide updates as information becomes available, and be assured that we will open sooner if it all possible.

Best wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
