Student Safety and Well-being

Dear Families, Students and Staff,

Yesterday’s tragic event at Robb Elementary School is both heartbreaking and concerning.  Student and staff safety is at the forefront of what we expect in our schools. The well-being of our children and the people who work to support them are a vital part of successes, great and small.

A child’s sense of safety and well-being may be affected by such events.  Here are some resources from the National Association of School Psychologists Talking to Children About Violence:  Tips for Parents and Teachers and the American School Counselors Association  Helping Students After a School Shooting that you may find helpful.

Please know that we are attentive and vigilant—should you have any specific concern that relates to a safety matter, or if you would like more information about resources, please contact the school's principal.

Thank you, and may you all have a peaceful weekend.
