Students in Ms. Andrew's Lab Anatomy course interact with a state-of-the art program called AlphaFold to manipulate A.I. generated microscopic proteins. This opportunity is an extension of the field work Ms. Andrew completed at MDI Biological Laboratory last summer.
Carter Grenier explains, "I found this A.I. engine to be a unique opportunity to view what proteins look like and how they change with mutations. It was interesting to see the AI create complex folds and be confident in its structure. There is a lot of exploration to do. I am excited to see what else can be done with this site."
